Menorval Calvados Prestige AC 80
History of the Méourval Calvados
Calvados is one of the French Appellations Contrôlées but unlike Cognac, Calvados is not made from wine but from cider (fermented apple juice).
Carefully selected apple varietals from the Orne Valley and Merlerault are double distilled in cognac pot-still.
All Calvados are aged in oak casks usually of 400 litres each.
Tasting Notes
It is an assembly of spirits from 2 to 4 years, partly from the region Domfront, Orne, France.
On a bright amber color, this calvados exudes a fruity and balanced bouquet.
The apple aromas are dense on the nose and are combined with fresh pear and stone fruit fragrances.
On the palate, the attack is very flexible, it is round, based on the fruit in line with the nose.
This product is an excellent base for flambéed dishes, cocktails, and ice cream floats!
